![]() ![]() If all else fails, consider giving your GPU a break and lowering the graphical settings of your games. When temperatures rise after changing clock speeds and voltage settings, it is suggested that they revert to their pre-overclocking parameters. To adjust the fan speed, use the input fan control utility. To increase GPU temperatures, overclocking is the simplest method. The best way to get to work is to take a compressed air can with you, especially the fans and heatsink. The GPU should be removed first, followed by the fan and heat sink. This will help prevent your card from overheating and crashing. Now, when you overclock your GPU, the fan will spin faster and cool your card down more efficiently. Then, click the “Fan Speed (%)” curve and lower the fan speed at the 60% mark. Go to the “Fan” tab and check the “Enable user defined software automatic fan control” box. To do this, open Afterburner and go to the settings. If you’re using MSI Afterburner, there’s a setting that can help lower your GPU temperature. ![]() Overclocking your graphics card can lead to overheating, especially if you don’t have good cooling. ![]()
